Baja
Baja SAE at UNL is a 20+ year award-winning team offering students hands-on engineering experience, professional skill development, and opportunities to compete nationally. One of the most decorated Baja SAE teams in the Midwest — and open to students of all majors and backgrounds.
Figure 8
At UNL Figure 8, we break the stigma that engineers shouldn't work on what they build. Members choose between our compact or stock team and spend the academic year building, modifying, and upgrading figure 8 race cars. Members also have the opportunity to learn race driving and try out as a competitive driver.
Formula
We're a student-run organization at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and are comprised of 45 students ranging from freshmen to graduate students. The team designs, constructs, and races an open wheel formula style race car in one of the world's largest design competitions, Formula SAE. Overall, approximately 500 teams from around the world participate in the program, with around 150 of those teams coming from North America.
