Figure8
Figure 8
At UNL Figure 8, we want to break down the stigma of engineers never having to work on the things they design. In our club, we have two teams: a compact team and a stock team. Our members choose which team they prefer or wish to be on, and then will be tasked with building those figure 8 race cars.
The club spends the academic year building, fixing, modifying, and upgrading race cars. In the spring, we will practice racing at different tracks in the local area. In the summer, the club competes in the NeFigure8n race circuit most weekends.
Formula SAE
Formula SAE
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
We're a student-run organization at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and are comprised of 45 students ranging from freshmen to graduate students. The team designs, constructs, and races an open wheel formula style race car in one of the world's largest design competitions, Formula SAE. Overall, approximately 500 teams from around the world participate in the program, with around 150 of those teams coming from North America.
